Northern Roll roller Ski Series 2024 – final event in Lancaster
Lakeland club hosted the final of the four Northern Roll Roller Ski Race Series events at Salt Ayre Cycle Track, Lancaster, on Sunday 1 September.
The series is made up of four events, each hosted by a
different cross-country ski club in the North of England.
This year’s events were:

Each event lasts one hour and involves skiers trying to
complete as many laps of a cycle circuit as they can in that time.
The winners and runners up of the individual Lancaster event (race #4) were:
- 1st female – Isla Birch (junior), British Biathlon Union, 14 laps
- 2nd female – Helen Bell, Yorkshire Dales Cross Country Ski Club, 13 laps
- 3rd female – Sarah Foy, Yorkshire Dales Cross Country Ski Club, 9 laps
- 1st open – Watson Peel, Yorkshire Dales Cross Country Ski Club, 15 laps
- 2nd open – Lucas Rhodes (junior),
Manchester Cross Country Ski Club, 14 laps
- 3rd open – Edward Prentice (junior),
Yorkshire Dales Cross Country Ski Club, 14 laps
